I’m Kathleen Baxter, LMFT, CST.
I love my job! Everyone’s life is a little messy and a lot of wonderful. I am here to get to know the wonderful parts and help you navigate the messy parts. I work to create a warm environment in which you can work to create your personal ideal. As a marriage and family therapist, I take into account how relationships play a part in the goals you have for therapy.
You know how sex can be hard to talk about? As a Certified Sex Therapist, I treat sensitive sexual issues with care so you can approach them with confidence. Whether you are trying to solve a sexual problem or working to create improved sexual intimacy, through continued years of sex therapy education and practice, I have the knowledge and experience to guide you toward your goals.
When I am not at work, I am chasing my three busy kids! I am married to my best friend and our life is just as messy as yours! We love to play outside and eat yummy food. In my personal time I love to cook, do weightlifting, and dabble in some writing.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I am confident you have the courage, capacity, and resilience to get to the other side of it.
My Approach
I use a toolbelt full of evidence-based practices in order to help you meet your therapy goals. No two people are the same. For that reason, I first get to know you, both your challenges and strengths, and tailor my approach to you specifically! I use a very collaborative approach. I am not the expert on you. You are! This is why I rely heavily on open communication with my clients to ensure you are getting the kind of care you know you need.
